Merchant Spotlight: Circus Circus Dollhouse, Pompton Plains, NJ

Celebrating 31 years in business, Circus Circus Dollhouse is located in Pompton Plains, NJ. Simply put, they are in the miniature business in a big way. It all began in a “little old house” in Pompton Lakes, and three expansions later, they are now located in a 2,000 sq. ft shopping center. 

The store is conveniently located 30 minutes from New York City and Pennsylvania with easy access to all major highways.  What started out as a small neighborhood toy shop has evolved into a full service dollhouse and miniature shop.

They have an array of collectible and play dolls for all ages.  The shop includes the areas largest doll hospital, repairing modern to antique dolls at reasonable prices.  Dolls are “admitted” to the hospital from all around the country, estimates are given and customers’ dolls are “released” and returned like new.   The shop boasts an extensive inventory (over 20,000 items) of dollhouses, (kits and finished models) miniatures, building supplies, electrical systems and all types of tools.  Literally everything you need to build and finish your dollhouse kit or miniature project.                             

They build and electrify dollhouse kits with all the work being done on the premises in full view of the public. They also repair existing dollhouses. Marilyn, the owner of Circus Circus, says that dollhouses have been shipped in from as far away as CA, TX, VA and MN for repair work. The shop also does customizing or will build a dollhouse to suit.　 Free lessons are also offered at the shop.

If you don’t see the dollhouse you want, she’ll special order it for you.  To keep up with her customers changing tastes and demands, Marilyn travels to trade shows to find new artisans who create the unusual. She looks for new and exciting products from manufacturers and is constantly looking for new inventory to showcase.Marilyn has found that quality and personal service spell success.
