Merchant Spotlight: Circus Circus Dollhouse, Pompton Plains, NJ

Monday, August 31st, 2009

Celebrating 31 years in business, Circus Circus Dollhouse is located in Pompton Plains, NJ. Simply put, they are in the miniature business in a big way. It all began in a “little old house” in Pompton Lakes, and three expansions later, they are now located in a 2,000 sq. ft shopping center.

Contest Winners

We would like to congratulate our winners from the 2009 “Those Lazy, Hazy, Crazy Days of Summer” Room Box Contest!

Our 1st place winner was Susan Klein from Brookfield, CT and she submitted a room box with the theme of “Cape Cod Cottage”.  When she was growing up, her family used to travel to Cape Cod every summer and spend a week.  The two pictures above the couch are paintings of actual places on the Cape that she snapped from her friends’ orginal, real-life pictures.  She went as far as miniaturizing a few pages from the Cape Cod Times to spread out on the porch and deck.  Susan states that 97% of this room box is made from scratch.  Susan’s wonderful, nostalgic Cape Code summer house on the beach is beautifully handcrafted and artistically decorated.  Every detail is a fine example of our theme and it just makes you smile and relax to look at it!  Congratulations Susan!! 30% discount for good deeds

Wednesday, August 26th, 2009

Everyday Jennifer and I enjoy talking with and hearing about our customers’ projects and what they plan to do with them when they’re finished.  Some people build and finish their dollhouse kits to give as gifts to family members.  We hear from lots of grandparents, aunts and uncles who seem to have been “appointed” with the task of building a dollhouse.  Many people also build dollhouses to give to charity, whether it be a raffle, an auction or just a gift to an organization. Lots of folks make this a yearly project.  We admire all of them for their efforts because building a dollhouse kit is a labor of love.  For those of you planning to give your dollhouse to charity, Real Good Toys is here to help!  Did you know you can receive a 30% discount on any dollhouse kit that is to be built and donated to an organization for a fundraiser or  charity?  It’s really easy.  Just print, complete and return the Dollhouses for a Cause application.  Mail or fax back the application and Jennifer and I will review it and give you a call.  You will receive a 30% off Dollhouses for a Cause voucher for your charitable efforts.  How easy is that?  So take a look.  Jennifer and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

We always appreciate your interest in Real Good Toys dollhouses.

Best Wishes,

 Jodi
